Doomsday room / video installation / 2011 Doomsday Room is a spatial video installation which tries to capture a moment that  has already happened and may happen again. “Doomsday Room” is a fictitious space  where a nuclear explosion is screened on a continuous loop in a “parergonic” view  through the window. The space in the room, its elements (old radio, broken computer,  window, dried flowers, old newspapers …) as well as the haptic audio-visual effects  (video of the explosion, sounds and vibrations, synthetic wind, electronic images …)  all work together to situate a viewer into the position of a witness of such an event, i.e.  into the fictional field of a historical epoch that may become a narrative of the future.
